469,275. Alternators. VERTRIEBSGES. DES LEIPZIGER LEICHTMETALLWERK. May 21, 1936, No. 14441. Addition to 432,041. [Class 35] An alternator for generating current impulses as described in the parent Specification has a rotating fieldmagnet with tapering and overlapping polepieces. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the rotor is made in two parts 4<1>, 4<11> enclosing the winding 18 and with polepieces 21<1>, 21<11> shaped as shown so that the crosssection increases rapidly from the top to the root. The stator 7 carrying the armaturewinding 12 is narrower than the space between the roots of the polepieces. The rotor is massively built so as to act as a flywheel as described in the parent Specification. A modification is described.in which the rotor surrounds the stator.
