[Class 50] A composition for improving the combustion of solid fuel consists of the following ingredients, preferably in the stated proportions by weight, viz.: manganese dioxide 26 parts, iron oxide 8, sodium chloride 24, sodium chlorate 23, potassium chlorate 5, potassium bichromate 3, barium hydroxide 8, and organic matter (wood charcoal) 3. It is sprinkled on the fuel in the proportion of 2-2¢ lb. per ton.
