Abstract

352,444. Composition fuel. WHITE, W. W., 1, South Villas, Camden Square, Camden Town, London, and PONTET, H. D., 41, Parkhill Road, Croydon. Jan. 3, 1930, No. 233. [Class 50.] Fuel briquettes which have been stored at 400- 600‹ C. in an atmosphere free from oxygen preferably being subjected to radiant heat as described in Specification 352,556, are dipped in a solution of sodium silicate and then subjected to the direct action of a Bunsen flame. A proportion of iron or manganese oxide may be mixed with the fuel preferably with the binder to increase the weight of the ash formed and a sodium salt may also be added to provide a luminous flame.
