[Classes 94 (i) and 125 (ii)] In discharging sealing- discs from bottle cap shells which have been packed to form cartridges or packets as described in Specification 467,661, the cartridge is placed in the magazine k of a cap assembling machine with the flap e projecting through a vertical slot l. The wrapper is pulled through the slot to discharge the discs, which are then ready to pass down a tube m to the machine. In a modified form, a fixed knife on the magazine opens the cartridge during its introduction. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, a number of magazines k are mounted on a plate 2 rotatable about a shaft 3. A stationary plate 4 carries the feed tube m mounted on the cork feed mechanism of a capping machine 5. A loose weight is placed in each magazine so that, when it has been emptied, it engages a contact 10 to energize an electromagnet which actuates mechanism to rotate the shaft 3 one step and bring another magazine above the tube m.
