Abstract

467,965. Vehicle wheel - scrapers. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. OF GREAT BRITAIN, Ltd. (International Harvester Co.) March 8, 1937, No. 6784. [Class 108 (ii)] In grain-binding harvesting-machines of the type in which the main wheel has a wide flanged tread and in which the relative positions of the frame and wheel are adjustable, wheel scrapers are provided mounted on supports which are connected to the structure which carries the ends of the wheel axle so that the scrapers are moved up and down together with the wheel. The wheel axle 3 provided with pinions 8 is mounted in toothed arcuate supports 4 secured to the frame 6, 7 and by means of crown wheel and worm gearing operable by the shaft or rod 12 the axle 3 is rotatable to raise or lower the frame 6, 7 relatively to the axle. Bars 18, 19 are pivoted by means of pins 21 and slots 20 to the frame and their other ends are connected to the axle structure. A cross-bar 17 secured to the bars 18, 19 carries the scrapers 15 which are thus always in contact with the wheel 1.
