Abstract
467,625. Unit air heaters. CORNELL, E. S. Aug. 10, 1936, No. 22041. Convention date, Aug. 10, 1935. [Class 137] A casing 10 for a unit heater or cooler is provided with lugs 28, 29 to support a heat exchange unit 15a, and lugs 32, 33 to support a compressed air motor 27 driving a fan 25. The casing is provided with portions such as 22, 23 which are partly pressed out or weakened, so that any desired positions may be employed for the pipes 37 for supplying the heating fluid, and for the pipes supplying compressed air to the motor, by pressing out the corresponding weakened portions. When a number of such units are employed, their casings may be attached by bolts passing through other pressed out openings. The front of the casing is closed by a perforated grill attached to lugs 39. The grill may be stamped out in multiple units from a single plate, the units being separated by weakened portions which may readily be broken.
