Abstract

467,281. Ventilators. JOHNSTON, N. F. Jan. 1, 1936, No. 26. [Class 137] A device for distributing or diffusing air into enclosures comprises a casing 1 having an inlet 2 at the rear, and an outlet 3 at the front, the air current being controlled by a spiral scroll valve 5, Fig. 1, or by a rotatable outer cone 17, Fig. 3, having an opening 18 which may be made to register with the inlet 2. The spiral scroll valve 5 is closed by compression by a knob 8 and spindle 6, or by a remote control 9. Wire gauze diffusers 10, 11 or 19 are provided, and the air is further diffused and distributed by a spiral scroll diffuser 13. Specification 396,468 is referred to.
