Abstract
Permanent magnets consisting of 6-15 per cent of aluminium, 20-30 of nickel, 0,5-10 of cobalt and the remainder iron are made by melting the ingredients of the alloy, casting and then cooling the casting in air down to 500 DEG C. at the rate of 175-325 DEG C. per minute. The casting may be cooled quickly and normalized at 1000-1500 DEG C. before being cooled down to 500 DEG C. at the rate referred to above. Specification 424,746 is referred to.
