Abstract

466,204. Ozone. RONZI, C. Sept. 20, 1935, No. 26172. [Class 39 (i)] [Also in Group VI] A nozzle for producing a blast of steam and ozonized air for medical purposes consists of an inner steam jet 10a, a sleeve 10b and an outer casing 10c. In the jet 10a is a metal ring 12 and a similar ring 11 embraces the sleeve 10b. The ring 11 is connected to an electrode 12a which terminates opposite an electrode 12b. The rings 11, 12 and electrodes 12a, 12b are connected to a Tesla coil or other source of high tension high frequency electricity, so that sparks pass between the electrodes and an intense field is set up between the rings 11, 12. The steam issuing from the jet 10a draws air through an opening lOd and it becomes ozonized in its passage between the rings 11, 12 and through the sparks.
