[Classes 81 (i) and 81 (ii)] [Also in Groups XXIX and II] Relates to apparatus for forming mist which is applied to disinfecting apparatus, inhalers and surgical syringes. Fig. 7 shows an apparatus for disinfecting &c., comprising a chamber B to which a mist is supplied by a passage T from a vessel N in which an atomizer is immersed, air being supplied by a compressor through passages A, R forming a closed circuit. Similar chambers of smaller size may be employed for disinfecting small articles, e.g., telephones. Fig. 10 shows an inhaler in which air is supplied in a cloud circuit comprising a passage F<SP>1</SP>, pump E delivering to an atomizer immersed in a chamber A<SP>1</SP> and through a passage D<SP>1</SP> to an inhaler H. A similar arrangement is described for vaginal or rectal use. For disinfecting rooms the apparatus may be operated by a door.
