Abstract
463,585. Preparing goods for ironing. COUCH, F. J. Feb. 5, 1936, No. 3543. [Class 138 (ii)] The goods are brought by a conveyer 33 from the extractor to a shoot 34 provided with a curtain 35 and delivering into a receptacle 11 which is rotated within a stationary casing 10 by a motor 22 and belts 24. The receptacle is supported by rollers 18, 19, and is provided with longitudinally - extending blades 28 for tumbling the goods. The discharge end of the receptacle communicates with an airtight casing 46 which leads to the inlet end of a duct 43 containing a blower 44 operated by a motor 45. The duct discharges into the receptacle through an airtight joint 48. The duct may contain a radiator 49, and a water jet 50 may be provided in the shoot 34. A jet of ozone may also be provided. The goods are discharged on to a transverse conveyer 40 passing through the casing 46 under curtains.
