Abstract

578,731. Drying wool &c. SOC. ANON. PEIGNAGE DE TOURCOING. Sept. 21, 1939, No. 26341. Convention date, June 27. [Class 34 (ii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] Wool &c. is fed to the vicinity of a nozzle 11 or Giffard injector, the air current from which impels the wool towards a perforated endless belt 6, and it is held in contact with the underside of the belt by currents of air driven through a fixed grid 2 by fans X<1>-X<6>. The wool is conveyed by the belt to a hopper 9 and is removed therefrom by pneumatic means. The grid is supported on jacks 5 which may be actuated simultaneously. A nest of tubes T<1>-T<6> introduce heated air into the currents from the fans X<1>-X<6>.
