463,530. Sewing-machines. MAUSERWERKE AKT.-GES. Aug. 19, 1936, No. 22858. Convention date, Oct. 3, 1935. [Class 112] In differential feed seaming machines, an auxiliary differential feed dog is mounted to engage the folded-down edge of one section of fabric and an auxiliary presserfoot cooperates to engage the folded down opposed edge of the second piece of fabric, these folds being turned down into a slot in the work support. Feed. The auxiliary differential feed dog 11 is mounted in a carrier 10 on a shaft 9 which is given rocking and forward and backward feeding movements by the differential feed bar 1 through a link 6, and T-shaped bar 7 secured to the bar 1 by the bracket 2. Presser foot. The auxiliary presser foot 13 is carried on an arm 14 pivoted on the spindle 17 and pressed to the work by springs 20, 23, Fig. 7. When the chain 26 is operated to lift the main presser, it also disengages the auxiliary presser by the arm 25, arm 27 and cam 28, Fig. 3. Work supports and guides. The work is folded down into a slot in the work support 33, Fig. 5, one edge passing over a tongue 34, which covers the auxiliary feed dog 11. The edges are guided by a guide 37 adjustable vertically on the stud 38 to determine the width out off by the trimmers 35, 35.
