Abstract

462,270. Electric control systems. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.-GES. June 23, 1936, No. 17454. Convention date, Sept. 20, 1935. [Class 40 (i)] In a system for. effecting control over power mains, selective operation of a number of different apparatus is effected by interruptions of a control impulse of predetermined length at points characteristic of the selections. As shown, when an A.C. control current of predetermined duration is superposed on the mains N, tuned relay 1 is operated and a motor 5 is started. The motor drives a disc 10 having adjustable switch arms 11, 12 and the motor circuit is maintained closed during one complete rotation of the disc by a contact disc 8. The switch arms close contacts 13, 14 at predetermined points in the revolution and the arrangement is such that the circuits controlled by the contacts, viz. the coils 15, 16 of a polarized relay 17, and prepared by the switch arms are closed over the back contact 3 of relay 1 in the event of interruptions in the control impulse at points corresponding to the positions of the arms 11, 12. The contacts 13, 14 may be arranged in parallel with the contact of the receiver relay.
