462,078. Speed indicators. RUSSELL, H. B. Feb. 13, 1936, No. 4314. [Class 106 (iii)] A speed-limit indicating device on motorvehicles comprises a red neon lamp placed in a prominent position and adapted to be lighted when the speedometer needle G is travelling over a predetermined speed range. The needle G carries a spring-pressed wheel which runs in contact with a stationary strip J to complete the lamp circuit over the prescribed range, the needle and its hairspring forming part of the circuit. A buzzer may also be included in the circuit, which may be opened, when desired, by a switch. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 23093/03, [Class 57], and 113,455, [Class 118 (ii)].
