Abstract

459,779. Two - way transmission. TELEPHONE MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., Hollingsworth Works, Martell Road, West Dulwich, and PADDLE, L. H., 92, Lancaster Road, West Norwood, both in London. June 11, 1935, No. 16791. [Class 40 (iv)] In a two-way telephone system, particularly for use with loud-speaking receivers, an auxiliary control current for echo-suppressing purposes is generated by a separate microphone CM consisting, for example, of a tuned reed actuated by a diaphragm. The system shown comprises attenuating networks T1- T4 in the speech and control paths, controlled in pairs by a rectifier-valve arrangement VI, V2 similar to that described in Specification 451,496. A similar arrangement of four networks is described for a two-way repeater.
