459,615. Securing machinery. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. Jan. 10, 1936, No. 914. Convention date, Jan. 11, 1935. [Class 80 (iv)] The motor -compressor unit 21 of a refrigerating machine for a domestic cabinet is resiliently supported within the usual sealed casing 19 by three vertical springs 30, 31, 32 attached at their upper ends to bolts 36 engaged in V-shaped members 33 extending from the wall of the motor, approximately in the horizontal plane of the centre of gravity of the unit, so that lateral vibrations of the unit are not communicated to the cabinet. Preferably a " bumper " ring 46 extends around the members 33 and stops 48 are provided on the wall of the casing to limit upward displacement of the ring. The springs are secured in grooves in upper and lower blocks 38, 41. Specifications 284,729 and 284,730, [both in Class 29], are referred to.
