Abstract
459,606. Electricallyheated vessels. VOIGT & HAEFFNER AKT.-GES., 142, Hanauerlandstrasse, and TRAMBAUER, R., 9, Br³der Grimmstrasse, both in Frankfort-on- Main, Germany. Sept. 5, 1935, No. 24737. [Class 39 (iii)] The vessel bottom is a massive metallic heating-plate a connected at b to a sheet metal outer wall of the vessel by soldering or welding, and insulated conductors forming heating elements are totally enclosed in the plate by being cast therein or embedded in a ceramic mass located in a cavity in the plate. A depression f at the top edge of the plate a retains water near the connection b. A fusible metal plug c in the centre of the plate a holds the axle of a locking wheel d controlling a spring-pressed switch e. which opens when the plug softens on over-heating of the plate. The switch e is closed by a press button g when the metal c has set again, and is held by a spring h engaging the wheel d.
