Abstract
459,246. Valve circuits for wireless reception. KRAMOLIN, L. L. DE, Rittergut, Gross-Glienicke, Kladow, Berlin. Oct. 1, 1935, No. 27114. [Class 40 (v)] A short-wave unit adapted for connection to a broadcast receiver by plugging into the detector valve socket comprises a valve the electrodes of which are connected at three points to the tuned input circuit, the tapping E on the inductance 4 being so chosen that the stray capacities to earth of the grid circuit side and the aerial side are balanced about the earthed tapping point. The cathode circuit is earthed over condenser 17 to enable working on A.C. or D.C. supply mains and the leads 10 between unit and set may be surrounded by an earthed screening coil 12. The bias of the valve is adjusted by connecting the plugs 13 to socket 15 or 16 on each side of the filament circuit. The condensers 18, 19 and corresponding terminals are provided for connection of a gramophone pick-up, particularly on D.C. mains.
