[Class 11] [See also Group XVI] Prints are given a glossy appearance by printing them with a lacquer, e.g. a nitrocellulose lacquer, by means of an intaglio printing roller having densely arranged etched depressions for receiving the lacquer. The depressions may be in the form of a line screen having a density of 48 to 70 lines per cm. When the lacquer is applied by such a roller to a multicolour print produced by a screen process, the lines of the lacquer are arranged at an angle to those of the picture print.
