Abstract

Artificial marble is made from a mixture of 1 part of white Portland cement, 2 to 2 1/2 parts of ground quartzite and 0,3 to 0,35 parts of ground fat lime. Mineral colours, as veining, and ceresit, for waterproofing, may be incorporated. The product may be ground and polished, details of such a process, and of a veining process, being given. It may be laid on a cheap base of cement and sand, and may have iron reinforcements.
