Abstract

<PICT:0457197/III/1> In the regeneration of solid adsorbents used in the recovery of condensible vapours &c., the adsorbent after flushing with steam is dried by the application of a high vacuum to the vessel containing it. The adsorption vessel is evacuated through a pipe b by means of a steam injector a discharging into a condenser d which is evacuated by a second injector e. The moisture content is principally condensed in the condenser g. The invention is applicable to the pre-filters as well as to the main adsorption vessels. Specification 415,801 is referred to.
