[Class 38 (iv)] [See also Group XXXVII] Electromotive force.-Comprises a vibratory voltage regulator for dynamos, in which at least one of a pair of contacts is made from carbon and in which the field winding is shunted by a rectifier. As shown a dynamo a is provided with a cut-out d and vibratory regulator m which regulates by interrupting the field circuit. A rectifier w is connected across the field such that the field is shortcircuited when the regulator contacts r, s open. One or both of the regulator contacts are made of carbon. A condenser x may be connected across the contacts r, s. Specifications 259,297, [Class 38 (iv)], and 356,807 are referred to.
