[Class 26] In a combined closet and bidet, the closet is provided with a seat open at the front and the front portion of the bidet rests directly upon the front end of the bowl. In one form, Fig. 1, the bidet 21, seat and cover 24 are mounted on a common hinge-pin 14, and the bidet is equal in width with and rests upon the edges of the closet and has a forward extendion 28, the seat being formed in two portions carried by members which cause the seat-portions to be spread apart on lifting. In other forms, the bidet can be lowered directly on top of the seat and the front portion thereof extends downwardly between the seat portions ; the forward extension may be dispensed with and the bidet may equal in width, or be narrower or wider than, the seat. The bidet has a nozzle 41, Fig. 4, supplied with hot and cold water through a mixing-valve, which nozzle is tiltable so that it may take either of the positions shown, notches 43 coacting with a spring 44 to ensure the correct setting of the nozzle. In the upright position, the nozzle serves for direct bathing and in the horizontal position merely for filling the bidet. An arrangement producing a similar effect is shown in Fig. 9, a nozzle 54 being threaded at 55 to receive a detachable cap 56 which has apertures 57. A drain plate 30, Fig. 1, is provided.
