Abstract

A cleanser for carpets and like textile articles is composed of an aqueous or other solution of sodium, potassium, or ammonium compounds of oleic acid or oleic acid derivatives, e.g. sulphonated oleic acid. It may be made in paste or like form by concentrating the solution or adding gelatine, e.g. up to 0,5 per cent. Suitable 70 lb. of potassium salts of sulphonated oleic acid with 30 lb. of water is used; a little ammonia, perfume, acetone, alcohol or salts may be added.
