Abstract

Animal fibres are washed in a solution having a pH value between 7 and 8 of a product obtained by treating glycerides of saturated fatty acids with one to three times their weight of a sulphonating agent and neutralizing. The sulphonation of coconut oil and tallow fats is mentioned.
