455,990. Bags &c. RAMSDEN, H., and CHARTER MOTOR ACCESSORIES, Ltd., Trading Estate, Slough, Buckinghamshire. May 2, 1935, No. 13079. [Class 133] A cycle saddle-bag is provided with a strip metal reinforcing frame to the exterior of which the fibre or wire mesh body portion 10 and outer covering 10<a> are secured, the frame consisting of a pair of end portions 3 ... 7 connected by cross-members 8, 9, the lower parts of the end frames having gaps or interruptions 6 ... 7. Pockets projecting into the body portion, provided at one or both ends, are accessible from the exterior of the bag through upper openings which are normally covered by flaps 21 depending from the flexible flange 16 of the lid, which is stitched to the body at 17, and held closed down by clips 23. Attachment straps 20 secured to metal hangers 18, a strap 27 for encircling the saddle pillar, and straps 24 for attaching a cape &c. are provided. In modifications, the internal end pockets may be replaced by external ones and external side pockets may also be provided. The Specification states that rucksacks may be similarly constructed.
