Abstract
455,152. Electric heating resistances. SOC. ANON. DES MANUFACTURES DES GLACES ET PRODUITS CHIMIQUES DE SAINT-GOBAIN, CHAUNY, & CIREY, 1<bis>, Place des Saussaies, Paris. June 14, 1935, Nos. 17226 and 17228. Convention dates, June 14, 1934 and Jan. 28, 1935. [Class 39 (iii)] Heating resistances comprise a tempered glass support on to which pulverized molten metal has been projected in ribbon form by a current of gas. Aluminium may be projected by an air stream which oxidizes part of the metal so as to obtain a mixture of predetermined specific resistance. The support may consist of a plate a on which is formed a sinuous ribbon resistance b. A series of such plates are mounted vertically in spring contacts f to form a radiator. A hot plate is formed by a glass plate with a ribbon on the underside and spaced above an insulating plate. Convection type radiators are described employing horizontal or vertical open-ended glass tubes with ribbons formed on the outside or insides of the tubes. Specification 413,900, [Group II], is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes the application of the invention to a windscreen and the provision of terminal pins soldered to the ribbon. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
