[Class 125 (ii)] A nozzle for filling bottles with liquid under pressure, with compressed air and liquid conduits, has a member 20 which slides or the air tube 4 and controls the supply of liquid and air Liquid is introduced to the bottle 35 through a tube 3 which is secured to the tube 4. The upper end o: the tube 4 reaches above the level of the liquid in the container 1. Air tightnes: is ensured by a rubbe: member 8. When the bottle is raised against the action of the spring 10 the washe: 9 contacts with a stop 12 Meanwhile the air valve 20 is first lifted and air is admitted to the space 31 and the openings 30 to the tube 4. The upper end of the spring 16 during the upward movement of the bottle engages the enlarge ment 23 and lifts the valve 21, so that liquid enters the tube 3 and fills the bottle. If the bottle breaks the supply is automatically cut off by the action of the spring 10. If the bottle is cracked the air pressure on the plate valve 21 drops and the admission of liquid is cut off.
