452,949. Moulding coffins &c. from pulp. HEDQVIST, O. Y., Vee, Vase, Sweden. July 3, 1935, No. 19002. [Class 87 (ii)] A mould for making coffins, boxes, chests &c., or their lids, fron fibrous material in sus pension in water com prises outer and inne: mould parts 1, 2 between which the article is formed, and which have extensions 4, 5 adaptec to receive screw-operatec plungers 6, while the inner mould has a movable bottom 3 slidable in a frame 14. In operation, the pulp is poured into the space between the mould parts 1, 2 and the plungers 6 and bottom 3 are lowered to compress the material and remove the water. Heat mav be applied. The plungers and sides of the mould parts are detachable to facilitate removal of the moulded article.
