Abstract

457,162. Filling chocolates. LOESCH, M., 130, Zwickauer Strasse, Dresden, Germany. March 18, 1936, No. 8116. [Class 125 (ii)] [See also Groups V and VI] Hollow chocolate bodies are filled with fruit juice, rum or liqueur &c., or withfruits&c.and a liquid, by supplying an excess of liquid filling material to the chocolate and removing the excess by suction to leave the filling at a predetermined level. Moulds 3 advanced intermittently along a table 1 by a conveyer, (not shown), are provided with the chocolate shell 4 and a fruit 5, after which, liquid filling 7 is supplied by a nozzle 6, the excess being removed by a suction pipe 9 mounted on a frame which is periodically actuated to insert the pipe 9 to a predetermined depth within the mould. The filling may be supplied at one station and the excess filling removed by suction at a subsequent station. For viscous fillings the suction nozzle may be formed as shown in Fig. 3 or in Fig. 4.
