[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 28, 1935.] [Class 135] A double-headed valve in which at least one of the heads is elastic has in one form the stem joining the heads so reduced in cross section as to impart sufficient elasticity to enable the heads to seat accurately even if the seats are out of alignment. In another form shown in the Figure one head 11 is formed with a stem provided with a socket 13 to the bottom of which a stem 15 formed on the other head 16 is secured by screwing, pinning or keying. Sufficient clearance is left about the spindle 15, which is preferably of reduced cross section, to permit relative movement of the heads.
