[Class 38 (v)] In switches of the kind where pairs of contacts 11, 12 are selectively operated by a series of cams 15 on an operating spindle 14, the cams are individually angularly adjustable on the shaft to alter the sequence of operation. As shown in Fig. 1, the cams are provided with a central polygonal opening which fits on a shaft of similar cross-section. As shown in Figs. 3 and 5, one face of each cam 20 is provided with projections 21 while the other side is provided with radial depressions 22 so that a series of cams are interlocked in one of a number of relative positions, the end cams being interlocked with a disc fixed to the driving spindle. In Fig. 6, the cam 30 is provided with radial slots which are engaged by a key 32 engaging a slot in the shaft 31. The cams 15 and the base 10 are of ceramic material and the fixed contacts 11 are burnt on to the base.
