Abstract

452,064. Grease guns. LUBRICATION CORPORATION, 910, South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, U.S.A. Sept. 6, 1935, No. 24846. Convention date, Sept. 7, 1934. Addition to 419,506. [Classes 102 (i) and 102 (ii)] A lubricating-device comprises a pump 5 and a container. 2 in which grease is ejected from a cartridge 8 by a piston 11. The pump 5 is integral with a connector stud 6 and the portion 20 fits a hole in the cap 3 so that it may move longitudinally. A plate 9 is secured to the stud 6 and the cartridge is removably secured, e.g. by a bayonet connection, to this plate. The end 13 of the cartridge is recessed and connected to the side wall by a seam 14 which bears against the cap 3 so that the side wall takes the thrust applied to the piston 11. Fig. 4 shows a modification wherein a disc 26 secured to the connector stud 6 overlaps a flange 25 on the cap 3<a> and is centred by a spring 28.
