Abstract

429,812. Lubricators. TRIER BROS., Ltd., and TRIER, F. N., 36, Victoria Street, London. Oct. 12, 1934, No. 29231. [Class 12 (iii)] A lubricator comprises a cup A screw-threaded internally and having an outlet B<1> at one end and being closed by a cap D at the other end. The cup has a screw - threaded plunger C which can be rotated by a handle C<2> connected to the plunger C by a rod C<1>. A compression spring E is interposed between the cap D and an abutment on the rod C<1>. The spring E is preferably shaped as shown, so that, when fully compressed, it forms a flat spiral. The cap D is free on the rod C<1> and has a flange D<1> dimensioned so that it wholly encloses the plunger C when the latter is detached. In a modification the rod C<1> has an axial bore and the lubricator can be recharged with lubricant by applying a lubricant gun to the outer end of the bore.
