Divided out of 449,624. [Class 38 (i)] The cells of a dry battery are joined in series by connectors of the form shown in Fig. 1. A wire is bent to form a loop 22 which can be expanded by pressing the arms 26 so that it can be placed over the end of the carbon rod projecting from the cell. The arms 26 press against the zinc cup of the adjacent cell. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which the arms 26 are bent inwardly at 25. The ends 25 may be joined together and the coupling may be made from a wire ring.
