Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 12, 1935]. [Class 144 (i)] An electrically-operated device for indicating deflation of a pneumatic tyre in running by the actuation of an audible or visible signal, or the interruption of the ignitioncircuit of the motor, comprises a piston 7, Figs. 2 and 5, normally balanced between an adjustable spring 11 and a flexible bellows 8 communicating with the air-tube of the tyre. The piston 7 is geared to a pivoted or sliding arm 5 which, on deflation of the tyre and consequent movement of the piston, is projected from the casing 1 to engage a trip-arm for actuating the signal-device. As shown in Fig. 8, the trip-arm 21 is carried by a plunger 19 forming a contact-member adapted to co-operate with a contact 17 in a casing 16 mounted on a fixed part of the vehicle. The contact 19 is normally held off, against the pressure of a spring 20, by a cross-pin 22. On impact of the arms 5, 21, the plunger 19 is turned whereupon the pin 22 rides down the cam-grooves 24 and the abutment of the contacts 19, 17 closes the indicating-circuit.
