Abstract

449,930. Spectacle frames, WISEMAN, M., 72, Leather Lane, London. April 18, 1935, No. 12055. [Class 97 (i)] In a spectacle frame in which the bridge member and placquet arms are in one piece, the bridge member 1 has terminal parts 3 extending downwards from the ends of the bridge where it is attached to the rims 5, and formed at their ends 4 to constitute placquets to bear directly on the nose of the wearer. The bridge is soldered to the eye-rims 5, the solder extending along substantially one third of the length of the terminal parts 3 to give rigidity. The placquet ends 4 may be oval or pear-shaped-and are convex on their inner faces.
