[Class 38 (i)] In an electric lampholder of the bayonet type formed of moulded insulating material 1 with a metal reinforcing ring 11, the parts 9 of the ring 11 in which are formed the bavonet slots 10 are joined by narrow strips 8 and metal of the reinforcement extends on both sides of a bayonet slot. The parts 13 above the bayonet slots are narrow, and narrow tongues 12 formed in the parts 9 are bent inwardly. The ring 11 is sufficiently weak to permit deformation thereof when the insulating composition shrinks and cracking of the composition is avoided or reduced.
