Abstract

448,757. Vehicle spring-suspensions. PORSCHE GES., DR. ING. H.C. F., 24, Kronenstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. Nov. 15, 1935, No. 31661. Convention date, Nov. 15, 1934. [Class 108 (ii)] In means for regulating the tension of torsion springs in road vehicles in which a pressure screw and a lever secured to the end of the spring are employed, the pressure screw 15 is mounted in the end of the lever 8 and engages a socket-like plate 21<a> connected to a frame member 10, the end of the spring being mounted in such a manner as to allow axial and radial play with respect to the frame. The end of the torsion spring 2 is splined to the hub 8<a> of the lever which hub is mounted with play in a bracket 3 secured to the frame member. The plate 21<a> is mounted in a depression 21 in the frame 10 and is removably secured there by a plate 20. The pressure screw 15 is provided with a securing nut 19.
