Abstract

174,281. Ramage, T. Jan. 17, 1921. Steering-gear; deflectable axle-ends.-Tensioning-devices are provided between the axle and the stub-axles to prevent rattle due to looseness of the parts. As shown, springs 14 are attached at one end to an adjustable rod 19 carried by a bracket 15 clamped to the axle 5 and at the other to a clevis 12 attached to the pin 11 passing through the steering-arm 9 of the stub-axle 7.
