Abstract

447,902. Variable resistances. PRESTIDGE, A., and WEBSTER, W. T., (trading as PRESTIDGE & CO., A.), 11, Froysell Street, Willenhall, Staffordshire. Oct. 20,1934, No. 30069. [Class 37] The contact carrier comprises an open frame 5 in which the laminated brush 9 is loosely located by strips 9a, 9b, the brush being shaped at its upper end to engage directly the slider bar 6. At its lower end the brush is splayed and slotted to engage the resistance wire which may comprise heavy and light gauge materials. In Fig. 4, the brush 9 is shown secured to a conducting block 14 which engages a slot in the frame 5 and abuts on the slider bar 6. Specification 427,038 is referred to.
