Abstract

447,172. Pots for growing plants. WALKER, T. BEVAN-, Walkers Greenhouses, Newton Park, Chester. Aug. 16, 1935, No. 23046. [Class 6 (ii)] A plant pot consists of a tapering earthenware body part, open from end to end and free from internal projections, and ledges and a separate detachable bottom portion fitting over the open lower end of the body part and made in the form of a tapering shallow cup which frictionally engages the body part. The separate bottom portion may be made of galvanized iron, tin-plate, aluminium, or other thin non-corroding sheet metal, or of other material. It is perforated at the base and may be slotted to provide tongues a to engage the body part, or holes or depressions b in it. Specifications 17457 /92, [Class 6], 25056 /97, [Class 5], 347,713, and 399,175 are referred to.
