Abstract

446,420. Rocking chairs. BLACKBURN, G. G., Criftin Road, Burton Joyce, Nottingham. Oct. 29, 1934, No. 30939. [Class 52 (ii)] A rocking chair is provided with rockers 3 pivoted at 2 to the front of the chair frame and fitted with slotted brackets 5 within each of which is a flanged roller 6 having axial pins which engage notches in projections 7 on the rear legs. When the chair is tilted forwardly, the rockers fall and the rollers engage the projections 7. The rockers may be connected by a rail 4, or may be independent, and a single roller extending across both rockers may take the place of the two rollers 6.
