Abstract
443,132. Spool-holders for photographic cameras. VOIGTLANDER & SOHN AKT.-GES., 7, Campestrasse, Brunswick, Germany. June 13, 1935, No. 17103. Convention date, June 19, 1934. [Class 98 (i)] A spool-holder has two pivot bolts of different dimensions to be brought as required to hold spools of different sizes or sockets. The flat swinging members 3 are pivoted to the camera at 2, and crank ed inwardly at the enlarged outer part 31 which is formed with a cut-out portion comprising a large segmental portion 4<1> and a smaller segmental portion 42. In the cut-out portion is located a circular disc 6 mountec on a steel wire 5 and formed with lugs 7, 8 and spool end faces 11 12 between which is a groove 9. The disc 6 can be rotated in the portion 4<1> but is normally held in locked position in the portion 42 by a spring 10 which holds the groove 9 in contact with the edge of the cut-out portion. When a different size of spool is to be introduced, the disc 6 is moved into the portion 4<1> and swung over to its opposite side and then allowed to move back into the locked position in the portion 4<2>. Lugs 15 on the members 3 bear against the walls 18, 19 when the camera is closed and maintain the pivots in position.
