Abstract

442,781. Vacuum cleaners. ELECTRIX, Ltd., Sterling Works, Dagenham, Essex, and SONES, W. H., 295, Lynton Road, Bermondsey, London. Aug. 28, 1934, No. 24788. [Class 8 (i)] In a vacuum cleaner of the type wherein a filter bag and fan are arranged in a casing, the filter bag is detachably connected to the end cover of the casing so that it can be removed with it. The filter bag c is attached to a ring e secured to the cover b by a keyhole connection g, a bayonet joint, spring catch or other type of detachable joint. An extension of the ring is provided with a rubber strip f to form a joint between the casing a and the cover b. In a modification the ring e is detachably connected to a supplementary cover which may be detachably connected to the cover b.
