Abstract
442,169. Supplying current to rotating conductors. HARTEL, E. G., The Hollies, The Drive, Wembley Park, Middlesex. Sept. 12, 1934, No. 26226. [Class 38 (i)] Means for supplying current to a rotating shaft, for use, for example, with a rotating electrode in an electrolytic etching machine, comprises a rigid slipper C with an anti-friction white metal lining F, adapted to engage a rotating drum B over a substantial portion of its periphery, the slipper being held in position by its weight without any external support and being restrained against rotary movement by the flexible feed cable J which is connected to one end H of the slipper through a forked socket member D. The drum B may be removably mounted on the rotating shaft by means of a split conical bush A.
