514,718. Beater &c. arms. DOUGLAS & SONS. Ltd., W., and NICOL, J. S. Sept. 27, 1938, No. 28148. [Class 86] A beater &c. arm 12 having a portion 13 at one end adapted to embrace, with a complementary member 16, the shaft 10 on which it is mounted for unidirectional rotation is arranged so that the complementary member is on the lee side. By these means the bolts 19 lying between the shaft and the end of the beater are not subjected to elongation strains which are taken by the bolts 20 at the far side.
