Abstract

Ornamented rubber mats are made by spraying a film of coloured rubber latex or solution through stencils on to a calendered sheet and after drying and removal of the stencil, vulcanizing in a mould under pressure. If more than one colour is employed, each coat is dried before the next is applied. To protect the design, a final translucent coat may be applied to the surface. Specifications 283,984, [Class 70], and 399,051 are referred to.
