[Class 26] In a ship's closet equipped with a dischargevalve 3 and a ventilating-valve 8 controlling an air-vent 13, the valves are so operatively inter-related that the valve 8 is held in open position while the valve 3 is closed, and is allowed to close only when the discharge valve opens. Both valves are non-return, gravity-closing clock valves. The valve 3 is mounted between the discharge limb 1 of the closet-trap and the outlet 2 and is pivoted at 4 in a bracket 5 attached' to a ledge 6 ; it has a unitary arm &c. 7 engageable with the valve 8, but may carry a member engageable by an arm &c. carried by the valve 8. Inspection covers 11, 12 are provided.
